In the spirit of saving money, and doing more home cooking/baking rather than buying packaged goods, I baked a batch of cookies this week. Truth be told, the baking is usually left to the hubby since he's amazing at it, but I took it on this time, and these babies are epic. Chewy in the right places, perfectly speckled with chocolate chips - just amazing. Try them for yourself and let me know what you think!
Epic Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 c butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour

2 c chocolate chips
Epic Chocolate Chip Cookies

- Preheat your oven to 375. Mix the first 6 ingredients together in a large bowl. Add the flour and baking soda and mix well. Stir in your chocolate chips. Using a tablespoon to scoop up the dough, roll into balls and place on a non-stick cookie sheet. They don't spread too much in the oven so you can place them fairly close together. Bake for 11 minutes. Eat! Fall in love!
